Bake Your Bacon {cut calories & fat}
I've mentioned earlier that we try not to eat too much meat. Most of the meals I brand are vegetarian, but considering cutting back on meat has been one of our healthy lifestyle goals.
Having said that, we definitely haven't cut it out completely. Occasionally I crave a juicy steak or my hubby {needs} a crispy piece of bacon. So, I'yard e'er in search of healthier ways to melt it.
I tried cooking salary in the microwave, simply it was simply as well hard to command. Then, I was excited when I discovered that y'all can melt bacon in the oven! It's a lot less messy, it cooks evenly without fifty-fifty needing flipped, and "bake your bacon" is just fun to say. 😉
Plus, I cook mine on a cooling rack which lets all the fat and grease drip down below. I tin't find verbal numbers, but I figure the fact that it doesn't cook in its own drippings has to cut down on the calories and fat…correct?
How to Broil Your Bacon
{makes as many strips of bacon as y'all need desire}
Directions
Line a baking sheet with heavy duty aluminum foil. Identify a cooling rack on top of the foil and lay salary slices in a single layer on top of cooling rack. Put the whole thing in the common cold oven and turn the temperature to 400 degrees. That's right, no need to even preheat the oven! At present, just cook until it reaches your desired level of crispness. Depending on the thickness of the salary it should take 15-20 minutes. When it is done, immediately put bacon on paper towels to soak upward any remaining grease.
